Privacy Policy
Effective July 4, 2026
This policy explains what MailFleet collects, why, and who processes it on our behalf. We run an email service, so we handle two kinds of data: yours (the account holder's) and, on your behalf, data about the recipients of the email you send. Questions: hello@mailfleet.dev.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and basic profile, handled through Clerk (including Google sign-in if you use it).
- Sending domains — the domains you add and their DNS verification status.
- API usage metadata — which API key was used, when, and how many emails were sent, for quota enforcement and billing.
- Message metadata — for delivery logging we store the from address, recipient addresses, subject line, delivery status and provider message id of each send.
- Message bodies — the HTML/text content of your emails is transmitted to Amazon SES for delivery. We do not store message bodies beyond short-lived operational logs needed to run and debug the service.
How we use it
To provide the service: delivering your email, showing you send logs, enforcing plan quotas, tracking bounces and complaints to protect deliverability, billing, and support. We do not use your data — or your recipients' data — for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Subprocessors
We rely on the following providers to run MailFleet:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (SES) | Email delivery infrastructure |
| Vercel | Application hosting |
| Railway | Postgres database hosting |
| Clerk | Authentication and account management |
| Stripe | Subscription billing |
Retention
- Send logs (message metadata) are kept for your plan's log-retention window and then deleted.
- Suppression entries (hard bounces, complaints) are kept while your account is active, because resending to those addresses would harm your deliverability.
- Account and billing records are kept for as long as your account exists, plus what law requires for accounting.
Your rights
You can access, export or delete your data by emailing hello@mailfleet.dev from your account address. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems within a reasonable period, except records we must keep by law. If you are a recipient of email sent through MailFleet, the sender is the controller of your data — contact them first; we will assist where we can.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in (session cookies set by Clerk). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will notify account holders by email or in the dashboard before the change takes effect.
