Acceptable Use Policy
Effective July 4, 2026
MailFleet is shared infrastructure: one abusive sender can hurt delivery for everyone. This policy is part of our Terms of Serviceand exists to keep the platform's reputation — and yours — intact. Report abuse to hello@mailfleet.dev.
What MailFleet is for
Transactional email to recipients who have opted in to hear from you: receipts, magic links and password resets, security alerts, product notifications, and similar messages triggered by a recipient's own account or action.
Prohibited
- Unsolicited bulk email — spam, cold outreach, or any mail the recipient did not ask for.
- Sending to purchased, rented, scraped or otherwise third-party-sourced lists.
- Deceptive headers or from-identities: forging senders, misleading subject lines, or impersonating people or organizations.
- Phishing, malware, or links to either.
- Content that is illegal in the sender's or recipients' jurisdiction.
- Content that sexualizes minors — this results in immediate termination and a report to authorities.
- Harassment, threats, or abuse directed at recipients.
Sender responsibilities
- Send only to recipients who opted in, and stop when they opt out.
- Honor unsubscribe requests and suppression: MailFleet automatically suppresses hard bounces and complaints, and you must not attempt to route around suppression (for example by re-importing suppressed addresses or sending to them from another account).
- Keep your lists clean — remove stale and invalid addresses before they bounce.
Thresholds and automatic pausing
We continuously monitor every account's sending quality. Accounts exceeding a 3% bounce rate or a 0.05% complaint rate are paused automatically — the API returns 403 account_paused until the issue is resolved with us. These thresholds mirror what mailbox providers themselves enforce; staying under them is what keeps your mail in the inbox.
Enforcement
Violations may result in pausing, suspension or termination of your account, depending on severity. For honest mistakes — a bad import, a buggy loop — we will work with you to fix it and restore sending. Egregious abuse (phishing, malware, content involving minors) is terminated immediately and reported to the relevant authorities.
Reporting abuse
If you received abusive email sent through MailFleet, forward it with full headers to hello@mailfleet.dev. We investigate every report.
